History

When Freddy Fazbear's Pizza looked to right the wrongs of the past establishment, one big piece of overhaul was the introduction of Toy animatronics. These were cleaner, smoother and all around safer attractions than the beaten up, worn down deathtraps that were the original animatronics. When the restaurant opened, Toy Chica was among the newest starts and was adored by the children who came to the Pizzareia. And everything was wonderful...

For about ten minutes, at least, before William Afton struck again. He tampered with the Facial Recognition software the Toy Animatronics wielded, and this drove them to becoming unreliable hazards that couldn't perform their basic functions of keeping children safe. She, along with the other toys roamed during the days and nights, and were openly hostile towards the Night Guards Jeremy Fitzgerald and Fritz Smith. Of course, the Night Guards somehow survived the nights, and was there in the flesh to witness the Bite of '87.

The Bite of course saw the end of the restaurant, which was already scheduled to close for a time while an investigation into the latest wave of missing children was ongoing. Toy Chica, along with the other toys, were scrapped entirely thanks to their colossal, and deeply expensive failure. And that was the last time the Toy animatronics were seen in real time.

She has appeared in Ultimate Custom Night as one of the many threats facing Afton. Still vengeful and out for blood. She has been treated largely as an addition to an already large roster in crossover events or compilations, finding herself as a smaller piece to a much larger puzzle in the Five Nights At Freddy's story.

Personality

Toy Chica was meant to be an endearing sweetheart who went about serving cakes and pizzas to the youthful patrons of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Along with the rest of Fazbear and Friends, she was playing this role well.

But her role was twofold. Entertainment and, above all else, safety. Because of the tragedy of Fredbear's Family Diner, and the death of the children coupled with that establishment shutting down, Toy Chica and the rest of the upgraded models were equipped with software designed to detect harm and predators. Sadly, this was then used against the animatronics as it was tampered with, and the toy animatronics suffered from a somewhat bipolar disposition. They were friendly and entertaining with the kids, but "when they encounter an adult they just... stare." This then snowballed into a more aggressive nature towards the staff of the restaurant.

In her appearance in Ultimate Custom Night, Toy Chica is extremely vengeful and takes great relish in torturing the captured William Afton. Although it is somewhat on the playful - and I daresay flirty - nature, her intentions are always the deaths of Afton. However, it is likely that this is more to do with the human spirit controlling the animatronic as opposed to it being Toy Chica's actual demeanour.

• Detachable Beak - implied to be used as a melee weapon in UCN.
• Animatronic Body - the toy animatronic is a massive frame, and in a frenzy is as good a weapon as any.
• Facial Recognition Software - can detect a predator from a mile away.

Abilities

• Free roaming during the day and night.
• Can detect predators from a mile away, and was linked to criminal databases.
• Can navigate the vents.
• Can pounce resonable distances.

Weaknesses

• Can be deterred by quick Freddy mask placements.
• Apparently not so effective at detecting ANIMATRONIC threats, such as the Bite of '87.
• Was scrapped along with the other toys after the Bite of '87.
• Either will not let go of their grudge with Afton even in purgatory, or is still binded by Golden Freddy and cannot move on properly even after death.
• Flashing lights can damage the Facial Recognition software and force Toy Chica to perform a reboot.
• Facial Recognition has been tempered with.
• Along with the entire cast of FNAF 2, were distant from adults because of their exploited Facial Recognition.
• Along with the entire cast of FNAF 2, went rogue after someone took the Golden Bonnie (Springtrap) suit on Night 6.

Trivia

• Her Cupcake is smaller than the one Chica originally used. It also had no teeth as opposed to the original's toothy design.
• Toy Chica only ever attacks from the left hand side across both appearances in FNAF 2 and UCN.
• She always loses her beak before climbing through the vent in FNAF 2.
• It is suggested she attacks with her beak in UCN, lodging it in the player's forehead (of course).
• In a Theorist livestream, a giveaway hint Scott Cawthon imparted was in regards to the Toy Chica figure's missing beak in FNAF 4's minigame.
• She was Markiplier's first jumpscare in his FNAF 2 playthrough.
