Rock Lee is a character from the anime/manga series Naruto. He fought Sanji in an episode of One Minute Melee and Death Battle. He also fought alongside Fei Long, Liu Kang, Marshall Law, and a Hitmonlee against Bruce Lee in an episode of DBX.

History[]
Rock Lee had always dreamed of becoming a "splendid ninja" like many others from his home of Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Unfortunately, despite all his efforts, he was unable to perform any special ninjutsu or genjutsu techniques, even basic ones, and was ostracized by his fellow students as a result. However, his determination came to the attention of Might Guy, a legendary shinobi who had experienced a similar setback in his youth. Taking Lee on as his protege, Guy trained Lee to instead utilize taijutsu, the ninja art of hand-to-hand combat, to its fullest extent. Through sheer hard work and constant training that bordered on absurd dedication, Lee managed to gruaduate from the Konoha academy and become a notable genin ninja through his talent in taijutsu alone.
Lee was assigned to Team Guy alongside Tenten and Neji Hyuga, the latter being a natural-born prodigy who constantly opined that Lee could never surpass his "destiny" of being a failure. Despite this in-house rivalry, the team worked well together and was eventually approved to take part in the chunin exams for the possibility of promotion. Here, Lee encountered and made an impression on Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. His team went far, until the final round consisting of a series of one-on-one fights pitted Lee against the devastatingly powerful Gaara. Although Lee stunned all by accessing a powerful technique known as the Eight Gates, and became the first person to ever strike and draw blood from Gaara, he was ultimately defeated and lost the use of his legs.
This setback did not stop Lee, and he eventually accepted a risky surgery that had a 50% chance of taking his life, just for the oppertunity to fight again. Now literally back on his feet, Lee joined his fellow chunin allies on their attempt to rescue a departed Sasuke and becoming a major figure in their subsequent journeys. He eventually became promoted to genin, and participated extensively in the outbreak of the Fourth Shinobi World War, always fighting to his fullest extent and finally gaining recognition as a true splendid ninja.
Personality[]
Rock was determined to not let his disability hinder his path to becoming a ninja, and ruthlessly pushed his body to achieve results with ninjutsu and genjutsu to no success. However, this made a mark on Might Guy, who instead directed this hard work into improving on taijutsu, which Lee managed to master in the stead of the other two. Because of the difficult path to achieve the talent he has, Lee developed a small grudge for anyone lucky enough to be born with unique talents, such as Sasuke or Neji, and proclaimed they could never experience the drive of someone like himself. Indeed Lee's training regimin is absurd (think hundreds of pushups a day minimum), and even became life-threatening when he tried to force his body back into shape after his legs were destroyed by Gaara. Posessing several techniques that put strain on his body, Lee has learned not to just fight for his own personal development, but also to protect those which he holds most dear to him.
This burning pride aside, Lee is an incredibly nice fellow. He is very polite, easy to get along with, and even capable of forgiving former enemies like Gaara. He formerly had an overbearing crush on Sakura Haruno, which she found incredibly annoying, but came to appreciate when he went out of his way to save her and her team during the chunin exams. He is also an extreme fan of his hero and trainer Might Guy, to the point where he emulated his signature bowl haircut and perpeptual optimism.
