Sonic the Hedgehog vs Pokemon! Two shadowy and mysterious characters collide in my sixty-first one minute melee!
Intro[]

WHERE ALL THE FIGHTS ARE SETTLED IN 60 SECONDS!

The plan was all coming together. The naivety of Silver and Blaze had sent them on separate courses fighting the wrong people. Mephiles was heading through a garden of sorts where another chaos emerald could be found. However, he was greeted by a gruff and unwelcoming voice: "Go away!" It warned. Mephiles turned back around and responded with "I'm not leaving. I have a mission of my own; you would be wise to not interfere." But as soon as Mephiles finished his threat, the Nightmare Pokemon himself revealed himself. Mephiles turned into a solid state and prepared for battle.
Go for broke! Fight!
Mephiles started by duplicating himself, trying to confuse Darkrai. The Pokemon was having none of that and so fired a dark pulse. Mephiles met this attack with a black sphere of energy. The attacks collided half way, harming no one. Darkrai attacked again but this time with ominous wind, destroying several clones and blowing Mephiles to a side. However Mephiles soon retaliated by firing an energy spear which Darkrai barely avoided. However, Mephiles wasn't through and he raised a chaos emerald and let out a shockwave which caught Darkrai and sent him crashing into a tree. Darkrai fired back again with dark pulse, stunning Mephiles. Darkrai then followed up by hitting dark void. Mephiles' eyes grew heavy and he slumped to the ground. Darkrai advanced, ready to use dream eater. But just as the attack was about to connect, Mephiles used his liquid state to avoid the attack completely. Mephiles floated around the garden, dodging Darkrai's attacks before solidifying himself once more. Mephiles fired another energy spear, this time hitting Darkrai in the chest. The Pokemon breathed heavily but persisted, firing off ominous wind at his opponent. Mephiles however used his clones to once again distract Darkrai. Darkrai did a good job defeating the clones with dark pulse but when he turned around to the actual Mephiles, he was hit with another energy spear, sending him through a tree.

Mephiles slowly advanced, like a zombie. He raised his hand and generated a ball of energy and enveloped Darkrai with it, sending the dying Pokemon into the future where he could see directly the costs of his failure.
