Knuckles the Echidna is a character from Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He fought Wario in the 22nd episode of One Minute Melee. He has also fought Donkey Kong in an episode of Death Battle, and Bullet from BlazBlue in the series premier of Mini Rumble.

History[]
Knuckles is the last descendent of the Knuckles clan of Echidnas, a warrior race which protected the power of the legendary Master Emerald for as long as their recorded history. Even as the last left of his people, his mission was to defend this emerald, which kept his island aloft in the sky. Unfortunately, he was duped by the diabolical Dr. Eggman into thinking Sonic the Hedgehog was after the gem. After the misunderstanding was cleared and Eggman was defeated, Knuckles became one of Sonic's greatest allies, called into the action every time the master emerald was threatened.
Personality[]
Knuckles is rash and prefers to punch first and ask questions later. His hotheadedness and ego lead him to push himself to prove his strength, but he can be easily deceived. As time went by, Knuckles appeared to get more and more unintelligent, lacking basic common sense, though he has gained a big heart and genuine passion for doing what's right. While he and Sonic are allies, he does see the blue blur as a rival, and will not pass up an opportunity to take the center stage for himself and damage Sonic's ego.
