God spares no salvation to those who would beg for it. Nor is he merciful to those who would beseech his benevolence. These petty requests are no invocation to God. They are your death.

History[]

In the 1400s, the Wallachian voivode Vlad III Dracula battled the Ottoman Turks for control over Eastern Europe, mercilessly slaughtering thousands of soldiers in the process. After his troops were defeated, he was eventually captured and sentenced to death for his innumerable war-crimes, and was sent to be executed. Desperate to save himself from his untimely death, Vlad drank blood from the corpses of the battlefield surrounding him, and transformed into a nigh-indestructible abomination of undeath in the process; the fearsome beast known as Dracula. Dracula’s reign of terror would continue for several more centuries, until he was defeated once more by the enigmatic vampire hunter Abraham Van Hellsing. Rather than being killed, Dracula was recruited into the government-founded Hellsing Organization, where he would soon become its most powerful weapon under a new name– Alucard.

Decades passed, and Alucard continued to loyally serve for the Hellsing organization, killing vampires under the direct orders of Abraham's descendant, Sir Integra Hellsing. On one fateful night, Alucard was sent to the quiet village of Cheddar in order to deal with a vampire problem, where he would soon meet Seras Victoria; a police officer taken hostage by the vampire responsible for the incident. After eliminating the vampire, Alucard decided to save the injured Seras’s life by drinking her blood, turning her into a vampire and one of Alucard’s ‘children’.

After Seras was recruited into the Hellsing organization, Britain was suddenly attacked by an unprecedented threat; a neo-nazi paramilitary group known as Millenium, led by the mysterious Major. Around the same time, the Iscariot Organisation declared war on Hellsing as well– all of which culminated in the gruesome Battle of London, which resulted in over 3 million casualties. Arriving in London, Alucard mercilessly fought against the armies of both Millenium and Iscariot– but he was defeated when he unknowingly absorbed Schrödinger into his undead army of familiars, forcing him to fade out of existence. During this time, the No-Life King killed every single soul inside of him until only one remained, and he finally returned after thirty long years, ready to serve under Her Majesty's crown once more.

Personality[]

Befitting of his infamous reputation as Vlad the Impaler, Alucard is very egotistical and arrogant. He has an extreme distaste for vampires and other undead entities, and frequently belittles and taunts his enemies during the midst of combat. Because of his immortality and absurd healing factor, he is reckless and holds disregard for his own well-being, often allowing himself to be blown to pieces before regenerating and killing his opponent. Despite his arrogance, however, he is unwaveringly loyal to his master Integra, along with his fledgling Seras, holding a deep sense of respect and compassion toward them both.

Buried deep beneath his arrogant exterior, however, is a colossal mountain of sadness and self-hatred. Viewing his own transformation as an act of cowardice, he is envious of humans and wishes to find a worthy opponent that could finally end his centuries-long life. He holds deep admiration and respect for humans who take pride in themselves, and wishes that one day he would meet a worthy mortal capable of defeating him once and for all. In the meantime, though, he’s more than happy to patiently wait for that day to come– he’s got a couple hundred more years at his disposal, after all.
